The unit itself is superb. Screen resolution is excellent. Some on-screen controls take a few taps to register, but that may be because I haven’t removed the protective cover from the screen. I hate to do that until I find a screen protector to fit it. I followed a youtube video for the install and ended up with a glitch there. It utilizes the truck’s built-in factory radio, and that worked perfectly, as did playing music from a usb stick in the center console. Other than those (which don’t come from the head unit) I couldn’t get any sound. No phone audio or voice guidance on navigation. What the video I watched failed to mention was a short, 2 inch long “extension” cord (or so I thought it was) NEEDS to be plugged into the “aux” port in the center console. After that is plugged in, go to the “console” function and press the “media” button until “Aux” comes up, and viola! Sound! I just wish that Aucar would either send an installation guide or at lease a link to an online installation guide. That would have made it soo much easier.

As much as I want to give this head unit a 5 star, I can’t. Bad first, unit comes with no manual or instructions on what is what and where it goes. And with any android head unit, there’s so many settings you have to go thru to get everything working right.
Now Good, and more good than bad, it’s all plug and play, you just have to figure out where everything goes. After hours of searching on the internet finding other peoples solutions to things you’ll eventually get it. Unit looks great, set it how you want it, better control over audio settings. Very responsive, no freezing since setting everything up correctly. The pewter color is about 75% close to factory look, this trim is just super glossy, as the stock is more of a matte or stain finish. Still looks great. I would recommend but you better be willing to do some research on how to get everything working properly. When finished it’s a 5 star unit!
